As many were affected by the recent hurricane in Florida and South Georgia, the United Methodist Connectional FCU stands ready to help where we can. Here are some of the products that we have available to our members who night need some extra assistance.
We can offer personal "quick cash" loans up to $2500 with repayment terms of up to 24 months at 9% APR. This is a far better option for our members over title loans or payday loans. These loans do require a credit check. A personal loan from UMC FCU is approved quickly, and in most cases, the funds are available the same day that your request is received. If you currently have a loan with the credit union, and have questions or concerns about making payments during the recovery period, including access to shared service centers, please contact a loan officer.
For churches affected by Hurricane Irma, we have low cost, low rate loans available for member churches that may help with small repairs or insurance deductibles. Churches can borrow up to $49,999 at the following rates:
Loans are subject to underwriting and Book of Discipline guidelines. To ease the process, the credit union will also supply the opening $5 deposit for new church memberships through October 31st. For additional information, or if a larger amount is required, contact Jonathan Curtis.
