FCU Scholarship
Applicants Needed
Attending School This Fall?
Currently A College Student?
For the second year, your credit union is offering $1,000 scholarships to
the winning students in the North Georgia, South Georgia and Florida
Conferences. Applicants for the scholarship must meet the following requirements:
• Be a credit union member in good standing.
If your college student is not currently a member, they may join the credit union
with a minimum deposit of $25 in a share savings account. Once they become a
member they are also eligible to participate in all other products and services,
including checking and homebanking.
• Write a 500 word essay.
This essay needs to tell why your college student feels credit union membership is
important to them, their family and the nation as a whole. Proper format and
attention to detail is important as these essays will be judged not only on their
merit, but also as a reflection of the student’s caliber.
• Turn in the essay no later than April 30, 2007.
Judging will be held prior to the scholarship awards presentation during the
Conference meetings in June.
