Meeting. All members are eligible to attend.
During the Annual Meeting, the credit union
membership will select three individuals to serve on the credit
union’s Board of Directors. In accordance with the credit
union bylaws, the Board Chairman has appointed a Nominating
Committee to select individual candidates for the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee, consisting of Kelly Brisendine,
Chair, Maryanne McCurdy and Clarence Thrower, has submitted
the names of the following individuals to serve three-year
terms on the Board of Directors of Georgia Florida United Methodist Federal Credit Union: Rev. Dr. Michael T. McQueen and Larry Roberts. Other members in good standing wishing
to run for the Board of Directors should follow the
procedures outlined in this document.

Board of Directors
Rev. Dr. Michael T. McQueen
The Reverend Doctor Michael T. McQueen is the Senior Pastor of Ousley United Methodist Church in Lithonia. A native of Philidelphia, Pennsylvania and a graduate of Drexel University, Reverend McQueen received his Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees, with honors, from the International Theological Center (ITC).
Revenrend McQueen currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Parent Youth Convocation, an affiliate of the International Theological Center, the United Methodist Children's Home and the Georgia Florida United Methodist Federal Credit Union.
Reverend McQueen and wife Wanda are the proud parents of two sons, Michael II and Malik.
Larry Roberts
Born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, Larry Roberts graduated from Jordan Vocational High School, LaGrange College, adn the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He served as a student pastor for three years on the Zebulon-Fincher Charge in North Georgia and then for 40 years on the South Conference. Roberts served nine appointments to local churches and one five-year appointment as Director of Development at the Methodist Home for Children and Youth before retiring in June, 1999. He and wife Myrna Edison have three children and five grandchildren.

Nominations to the Board of Directors of Georgia Methodist
Federal
Credit Union may be made by petitions submitted by members.
Qualifying packages may be picked up at the credit union
office. Those members who wish to nominate someone for
a vacancy should prepare and submit petition in accordance
with the following procedures.

Petitions must be signed by at least 1% of the members
of Georgia Florida United Methodist Federal Credit Union as of the
date of the petition.

Petitions must be accompanied by: a. Completed application
for the Board of Directors

The nominee must also state that they will be able
to attend board meetings and devote whatever time
is needed to fulfill this obligation. Regular board
meetings are generally held the fourth Tuesday of
each month.

Eligible candidates for the Board of Directors must
qualify for bond coverage under the credit union’s
current fidelity bond.

Petitions and applications for the Board of Directors
must be filed with the Secretary of the credit union
by March 15, 2004. The
petitions may be mailed to the credit union to the
attention of the Secretary of the Board of Directors.

An election will not be conducted and there will be
no nominations from the floor if there is only one
nominee for each position to be filled.
